Week 2 Fantasy Streamers

September 10, 2019

Chad Davis| September 10th, 2019

Week one of the NFL season always has breakout performances, with some of them being unforeseen. In this article, I will provide you with my top standout streaming options for QB, TE, D/ST, and Kicker, going forward into week two. The rostered percentages I present in this are pulled from ESPN Fantasy.

QB – Andy Dalton – 4.2% Rostered

The Bengals quarterback scored 20 fantasy points in Seattle, without top wideout A.J. Green. The belated emergence of John Ross helped tremendously. Dalton is a decent quarterback and I expect more of the same against a bad 49ers defense.

QB – Marcus Mariota – 6.2% Rostered

Mariota surprisingly picked apart the Browns for 248 yards and three touchdowns in week one, adding 24 yards on the ground. Considering the Colts have an underrated defense in my opinion and I am not very fond of Mariota, to begin with, only stream him in deeper leagues and if you are desperate.

QB – Case Keenum – 1.2% Rostered

Keenum torched a good Eagles defense for 380 yards passing, along with three touchdowns. The mediocre quarterback has the potential to ride the hot hand against Dallas who allowed the likes of Eli Manning to score a solid 14 fantasy points. I do like the addition of rookie Terry McLaurin as a weapon in a questionable pass-catching core.

TE – T.J. Hockenson – 30% Rostered

If you are in a redraft league, you probably didn’t draft the Lions tight end. The rookie burst onto the scene in week one with 131 yards receiving and a touchdown. It’s very rare that rookie tight ends make an immediate impact, but I think I have to make an exception for this talented young player. Scoop him up while you can.

TE – Vernon Davis – 0.6% Rostered

The veteran tight end provided us with a spectacular highlight play when he hurdled a defender and continued to burst down the sideline for a touchdown. Jordan Reed’s durability remains a massive concern as he is dealing with yet another concussion. Davis was second on the team in targets for week one and is a reliable red-zone target.

TE – Mark Andrews – 51% Rostered

Andrews solidified himself as the Ravens best pass-catching tight end this past week against Miami. The Ravens team as a whole looked like they were competing against a high school team but I look for an improved Lamar Jackson to continue his breakout season. Andrews and the rest of the Ravens pass-catchers will benefit from this, so pick him up for tight end depth.

D/ST – Cincinnati Bengals – 0.4% Rostered

If you are like me and wait to draft a D/ST in the final rounds, you may not have a favorable matchup this week. Look no further than the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals surpassed expectations in week one, with a one-point loss to the Seahawks. They scored a solid eight fantasy points and now have an excellent matchup this week against the 49ers, who just let the Buccaneers D/ST accrue a whopping 13 fantasy points. Jimmy Garoppolo has been no stranger to turnovers since taking over the starting job in San Francisco.

D/ST – Carolina Panthers – 10.8% Rostered

One of the most coveted D/ST’s in 2015 has fallen off significantly and now a waiver wire item in most leagues. However, with a friendly matchup against a turnover-prone Winston and a bad Buccaneers offense in general, I look for Luke Kuechly and company to score double-digit fantasy points in week two.

D/ST – Tennessee Titans – 40.1% Rostered

After temporarily shutting down the Browns hype train in week one, the Titans picked off Baker Mayfield three times and only allowed 13 points. The strength of the Titans looks to continue the momentum against Jacoby Brissett and the Colts. While I don’t particularly like the matchup, I still look for the Titans to get plenty of takeaway opportunities.

K – Cairo Santos– 0.2% Rostered

Santos was named Ryan Succop’s replacement after the latter was placed on injured reserve. I am higher on Santos than the general consensus and always thought of him as reliable since his days as a Chief. Santos was a perfect 7/7 in week one and should more opportunities against the Colts.
