The NFL holds its players to high standards on how they behave on and off the field. Players who are not meeting these expectations are usually fined or suspended by the league. Here’s a look at the players who have been suspended for any amount of games for the upcoming season:

Chad Kelly, Quarterback, Indianapolis Colts

Length of Suspension: 2 Games

Kelly was suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy after he was arrested and charged with trespassing last Halloween.

Jhurell Pressley, Running Back, Free Agent

Length of Suspension: 2 Games

Pressley was suspended for violating the league’s PEDs policy. The reason for the suspension was originally undisclosed when it was announced in April, but it was eventually reported three days later.

Kareem Hunt, Running Back, Cleveland Browns

Length of Suspension: 8 Games

Hunt was suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. In February 2018, he was involved in a physical altercation with a woman that prompted his release from the Chiefs.

Leonte Carroo, Wide Receiver, Free Agent

Length of Suspension: 4 Games

Carroo was suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Josh Gordon, Wide Receiver, New England Patriots

Length of Suspension: Indefinite

Gordon was suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He violated the terms of his previous reinstatement, hence the suspension.

Martavis Bryant, Wide Receiver, Free Agent

Length of Suspension: Indefinite

Bryant was suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He violated the terms of his previous reinstatement, hence the suspension.

Chris Herndon, Tight End, New York Jets

Length of Suspension: 4 Games

Herndon was suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He pleaded guilty in January to driving while intoxicated which led to an accident.

Rico Gathers, Tight End, Dallas Cowboys

Length of Suspension: 1 Game

Gathers was suspended for the first game of the Cowboys’ season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He was arrested in 2018 for marijuana possession.

Benjamin Watson, Tight End, New England Patriots

Length of Suspension: 4 Games

Watson was suspended for four games after he failed a drug test. He originally retired back in December but later returned to the NFL to sign with the Patriots. He failed the drug test because of the treatment he received after his retirement.

Antonio Garcia, Offensive Tackle, Indianapolis Colts

Length of Suspension: 4 Games

Garcia was suspended for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Alex Redmond, Offensive Guard, Cincinnati Bengals

Length of Suspension: 4 Games

Redmond was suspended for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Richie Incognito, Offensive Guard, Oakland Raiders

Length of Suspension: 2 Games

Incognito was suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. He was convicted of disorderly conduct in an incident dating back to August 2018, hence the suspension.

Aaron Neary, Center, Los Angeles Rams

Length of Suspension: 4 Games

Neary was suspended for violating the league’s policy on substance abuse. He received the suspension because of a DUI arrest that occurred in September 2018.

Ra’Shede Hageman, Defensive End, Atlanta Falcons

Length of Suspension: 2 Games

Hageman was suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Dion Jordan, Defensive End, Free Agent

Length of Suspension: 10 Games

Jordan was suspended for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Randy Gregory, Defensive End, Dallas Cowboys

Length of Suspension: Indefinite

Gregory was suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

David Onyemata, Defensive Tackle, New Orleans Saints

Length of Suspension: 1 Game

Onyemata was suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Back in February, he was issued a misdemeanor summons for marijuana possession.

David Irving, Defensive Tackle, Dallas Cowboys

Length of Suspension: Indefinite

Irving was suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Malik McDowell, Defensive Tackle, Free Agent

Length of Suspension: 2 Games

McDowell was suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. He was arrested in February for two incidents that occurred in Michigan, one involving an altercation.

Patrick Peterson, Cornerback, Arizona Cardinals

Length of Suspension: 6 Games

Peterson was suspended for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Ryan Smith, Cornerback, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Length of Suspension: 4 Games

Smith was suspended for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Holton Hill, Cornerback, Minnesota Vikings

Hill was suspended for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).
