The Patriots are adding to their depleted wide receiver pool.  Demaryius Thomas has signed with the New England Patriots.

The 31-year-old Thomas is an eight-year veteran, spending his entire career with the Denver Broncos before being traded to the Houston Texans last year. The Patriots have signed him to a one-year, $6 million contract.

The veteran WR is coming off of a torn Achilles but is expected to be back to full health soon. Last year he totaled 59 receptions for 677 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games. He is a four-time Pro-Bowler, and could definitely help the Patriots after losing Chris Hogan to the Panthers and not addressing the whole at wide receiver.

This signing comes after the Patriots attempted to trade for him last season. He will join Julian Edelman and Phillip Dorsett as one of Tom Brady’s major targets, but the position is still in need of more depth.
