2019 Fantasy Football: Week 4 PPR Rankings

Frank Ammirante | September 25th, 2019

The third week of the season featured a phenomenal debut by a rookie quarterback, a couple of week-winning performances from wide receivers, and a significant injury to a superstar running back. Bye weeks take effect for the first time this season, with the Jets and 49ers getting the week off. On to week four we go!

Quarterbacks

1Patrick Mahomesat Lions
2Russell Wilsonat Cardinals
3Lamar Jacksonvs Browns
4Deshaun Watsonvs Panthers
5Dak Prescottat Saints
6Daniel Jonesvs Redskins
7Aaron Rodgersvs Eagles
8Kyler Murrayvs Seahawks
9Jared Goffvs Buccaneers
10Philip Riversat Dolphins
11Matt Ryanvs Titans
12Carson Wentzat Packers
13Josh Allenvs Patriots
14Tom Bradyat Bills
15Jacoby Brissettvs Raiders
16Matthew Staffordvs Chiefs

19Kyle Allenat Texans
20Derek Carrat Colts
21Andy Daltonat Steelers
22Mitchell Trubiskyat Vikings
23Gardner Minshewvs Broncos
24Mason Rudolphvs Bengals

Mahomes retains his spot as the QB1 because he’s on another planet compared to every other quarterback in the NFL. This guy is making every fantasy owner who waited on quarterback reconsider their decision – he’s simply elite. Murray is the dark horse for QB1 in a game against a Seahawks’ defense that has been mediocre against the pass. This feels like Kyler’s breakout game against a similarly undersized and talented quarterback in Wilson.

31Adrian Petersonat Giants
32Frank Gorevs Patriots
33Devin Singletaryvs Patriots
34Rashaad Pennyat Cardinals
35Ronald Jones IIat Rams
36Duke Johnsonvs Panthers

McCaffrey will continue to see an increased workload with Cam Newton sidelined with an injury. In his stead, Allen looked impressive against the Cardinals, so it’s possible that this offense is better with him under center than an injured Cam. Fire up CMC as the RB1. The dark horse for RB1 is Kerryon, who faces a Chiefs’ defense that has allowed an average of 137.7 yards on the ground. This game has shootout potential, so there’s upside for Johnson.

Wide Receivers

42Phillip Dorsettat Bills
43John Rossvs Steelers
44Jarvis Landryat Ravens
45Emmanuel Sandersvs Jaguars
46James Washingtonvs Bengals
47Marvin Jonesvs Chiefs
48Corey Davisat Falcons

Allen is seeing a ton of volume this season, with 29 receptions on 42 targets, producing 404 yards and 3 touchdowns. He’s the WR1 against a pitiful Dolphins defense. The dark horse for WR1 is Smith-Schuster, who should be able to get loose deep against a Bengals’ defense that is allowing 9.1 yards per attempt. This looks like a get-right game for the Steelers’ offense.

Tight Ends

RankNameOpponent

1Travis Kelceat Lions
2Evan Engramvs Redskins
3Zach Ertzat Packers
4Mark Andrewsvs Browns
5Darren Wallerat Colts
6Greg Olsenat Texans
7Delanie Walkerat Falcons
8O.J. Howardat Rams
9Will Disslyat Cardinals
10T.J. Hockensonvs Chiefs
11Vance McDonaldvs Bengals
12Austin Hoopervs Titans
13Eric Ebronvs Raiders
14Jimmy Grahamvs Eagles
15Jared Cookvs Cowboys
16Vernon Davisat Giants
17Jason Wittenat Saints
18Jack Doylevs Raiders
19Tyler Eifertvs Steelers
20Trey Burtonvs Vikings
21Kyle Rudolphat Bears
22Gerald Everettvs Buccaneers
23Noah Fantvs Jaguars
24Dawson Knoxvs Patriots

Kelce retains his spot as the TE1, a place he will likely remain all season with the way Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense continues to dominate opposing defenses. The dark horse for TE1 is Dissly, who faces a Cardinals’ defense that has allowed big games to Hockenson, Andrews, and Olsen to start the 2019 season.

D/STs

RankTeamOpponent

1Los Angeles Chargersat Dolphins
2Los Angeles Ramsvs Buccaneers
3Chicago Bearsvs Vikings
4New England Patriotsat Bills
5Pittsburgh Steelersvs Bengals
6Indianapolis Coltsvs Raiders
7Denver Broncosvs Jaguars
8Minnesota Vikingsat Bears
9Jacksonville Jaguarsat Broncos
10Baltimore Ravensvs Browns
11Seattle Seahawksat Cardinals
12Dallas Cowboysat Saints

The Chargers are the best option at D/ST against the Dolphins, who are the gift that keeps on giving fantasy points to opposing defenses. The dark horse for D/ST1 is the Ravens, who should be able to put pressure on Mayfield because the Browns’ offensive line has been atrocious this season.
