The third week of the season featured a phenomenal debut by a rookie quarterback, a couple of week-winning performances from wide receivers, and a significant injury to a superstar running back. Bye weeks take effect for the first time this season, with the Jets and 49ers getting the week off. On to week four we go!

12 | Carson Wentz | at Packers |
13 | Josh Allen | vs Patriots |
14 | Tom Brady | at Bills |

20 | Derek Carr | at Colts |
21 | Andy Dalton | at Steelers |
22 | Mitchell Trubisky | at Vikings |
23 | Gardner Minshew | vs Broncos |
24 | Mason Rudolph | vs Bengals |
Mahomes retains his spot as the QB1 because he’s on another planet compared to every other quarterback in the NFL. This guy is making every fantasy owner who waited on quarterback reconsider their decision – he’s simply elite. Murray is the dark horse for QB1 in a game against a Seahawks’ defense that has been mediocre against the pass. This feels like Kyler’s breakout game against a similarly undersized and talented quarterback in Wilson.
Running Backs | ||
Rank | Name | Opponent |
1 | Christian McCaffrey | at Texans |
2 | Ezekiel Elliott | at Saints |
3 | Austin Ekeler | at Dolphins |
4 | Alvin Kamara | vs Cowboys |
5 | Dalvin Cook | at Bears |
6 | Mark Ingram | vs Browns |
7 | Derrick Henry | at Falcons |
8 | Kerryon Johnson | vs Chiefs |
9 | James Conner | vs Bengals |
10 | Joe Mixon | at Steelers |
11 | Chris Carson | at Cardinals |
12 | Nick Chubb | at Ravens |
13 | David Johnson | vs Seahawks |

15 | Marlon Mack | vs Raiders |
16 | Devonta Freeman | vs Titans |
17 | Miles Sanders | at Packers |

19 | Leonard Fournette | at Broncos |
20 | Josh Jacobs | at Colts |
21 | Phillip Lindsay | vs Jaguars |
22 | Aaron Jones | vs Eagles |
23 | LeSean McCoy | at Lions |
24 | James White | at Bills |
25 | Carlos Hyde | vs Panthers |
26 | Sony Michel | at Bills |
27 | Royce Freeman | vs Jaguars |
28 | Chris Thompson | at Giants |
29 | Wayne Gallman | vs Redskins |
30 | Justin Jackson | at Dolphins |
31 | Adrian Peterson | at Giants |
32 | Frank Gore | vs Patriots |
33 | Devin Singletary | vs Patriots |
34 | Rashaad Penny | at Cardinals |
35 | Ronald Jones II | at Rams |
36 | Duke Johnson | vs Panthers |
McCaffrey will continue to see an increased workload with Cam Newton sidelined with an injury. In his stead, Allen looked impressive against the Cardinals, so it’s possible that this offense is better with him under center than an injured Cam. Fire up CMC as the RB1. The dark horse for RB1 is Kerryon, who faces a Chiefs’ defense that has allowed an average of 137.7 yards on the ground. This game has shootout potential, so there’s upside for Johnson.
Allen is seeing a ton of volume this season, with 29 receptions on 42 targets, producing 404 yards and 3 touchdowns. He’s the WR1 against a pitiful Dolphins defense. The dark horse for WR1 is Smith-Schuster, who should be able to get loose deep against a Bengals’ defense that is allowing 9.1 yards per attempt. This looks like a get-right game for the Steelers’ offense.
Tight Ends | ||
Rank | Name | Opponent |
1 | Travis Kelce | at Lions |
2 | Evan Engram | vs Redskins |
3 | Zach Ertz | at Packers |
4 | Mark Andrews | vs Browns |
5 | Darren Waller | at Colts |
6 | Greg Olsen | at Texans |
7 | Delanie Walker | at Falcons |
8 | O.J. Howard | at Rams |
9 | Will Dissly | at Cardinals |
10 | T.J. Hockenson | vs Chiefs |
11 | Vance McDonald | vs Bengals |
12 | Austin Hooper | vs Titans |
13 | Eric Ebron | vs Raiders |
14 | Jimmy Graham | vs Eagles |
15 | Jared Cook | vs Cowboys |
16 | Vernon Davis | at Giants |
17 | Jason Witten | at Saints |
18 | Jack Doyle | vs Raiders |
19 | Tyler Eifert | vs Steelers |
20 | Trey Burton | vs Vikings |
21 | Kyle Rudolph | at Bears |
22 | Gerald Everett | vs Buccaneers |
23 | Noah Fant | vs Jaguars |
24 | Dawson Knox | vs Patriots |
Kelce retains his spot as the TE1, a place he will likely remain all season with the way Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense continues to dominate opposing defenses. The dark horse for TE1 is Dissly, who faces a Cardinals’ defense that has allowed big games to Hockenson, Andrews, and Olsen to start the 2019 season.
D/STs | ||
Rank | Team | Opponent |
1 | Los Angeles Chargers | at Dolphins |
2 | Los Angeles Rams | vs Buccaneers |
3 | Chicago Bears | vs Vikings |
4 | New England Patriots | at Bills |
5 | Pittsburgh Steelers | vs Bengals |
6 | Indianapolis Colts | vs Raiders |
7 | Denver Broncos | vs Jaguars |
8 | Minnesota Vikings | at Bears |
9 | Jacksonville Jaguars | at Broncos |
10 | Baltimore Ravens | vs Browns |
11 | Seattle Seahawks | at Cardinals |
12 | Dallas Cowboys | at Saints |
The Chargers are the best option at D/ST against the Dolphins, who are the gift that keeps on giving fantasy points to opposing defenses. The dark horse for D/ST1 is the Ravens, who should be able to put pressure on Mayfield because the Browns’ offensive line has been atrocious this season.
