Did you survive round one? I know I did, but it was sure it was stressful in some leagues. I went four for five in my IDP leagues where I didn’t have a bye and the one league I lost; my offensive players didn’t come to play fantasy-wise. The other guy though had a field day with his players going off. That’s alright because I’m looking forward to next season and the future is bright in that league, especially with five 2020 first-round picks to build on. That’s one league though, with the four wins I had, my IDP players stepped up big where they needed to and I sure hope you had some success. If you didn’t the scouting starts now to prepare for 2020, because your league mates are doing the same! Let’s dive into last week’s report.
Ed Oliver ended up with a quiet day with only five tackles with three of them being solo. I would look to stash him in dynasty or try to acquire him with the flashes of figuring things out towards the end of the 2019 season in prep for 2020. Anthony Walker was another guy with a quiet day, finishing with six total tackles and only two to of them solo. He should continue to feed off fellow stud linebacker Darius Leonard. Micah Hyde finished with seven total tackles with five being solo. He’s not a must-start, but a plug and play in deeper leagues if you need him. Chuck Clark as my sleeper had a very productive day with seven total tackles and a pass defended. He’s one to keep an eye on into the coming weeks.

Defensive Line
Jarran Reed, Seattle Seahawks
If you’re looking for a matchup edge week 15, look no further than the Seahawks playing the putrid Carolina offense. They struggle with pass protection as one of the league-worst protecting their quarterback. Giving up 21 sacks, 33 QB hits, and 16 of those sacks were surrendered to the defensive line position. Though his numbers don’t seem productive on the season, his snap count is still worthy enough of a plugin if looking for a lineman come Sunday.
Linebacker
Donald Payne, Jacksonville Jaguars
Since taking over the starting role for Myles Jack who was put on injured reserve, Payne has been a tackling machine. He’s racked up 29 total tackles in two weeks and has played 99 and 100 percent of the snaps since over those two games. He’s also managed a tackle for loss and sack during that time. He gets a matchup with the Oakland Raiders this week who have surrendered 200 solo tackles to the linebacker position in 13 games. Payne looks to be great must start if needing a linebacker for week 15.
Defensive Back
Tavon Wilson, Detroit Lions
Originally, I was thinking of doing a flashback piece here and telling you to make sure you pick up, if available and play Tracy Walker, but since I’ve written about him before he should be owned already and plugged in. Instead, I’m going with a deeper pick in Wilson who could be a potential steal with his matchup against Tampa Bay this week this late into the season. He’s had very consistent snap counts most of the season and since week eight he’s managed 52 total tackles, a sack, and fumble recovery. Now getting a Buccaneers’ offense that last week allowed 26 total tackles, a sack, and forced a fumble to the Colts’ safeties, he’s line for a potential nice game.
Sleeper
Kevin Pierre-Louis, LB, Chicago Bears
Bears’ defense hasn’t been the same as last year but injuries is part of the reason why. With both Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan suffering injuries, Pierre-Louis has been forced to step up and play a starting role. He was forced into making up for a season-high 63 percent snaps count last week with 46 snaps and managed six total tackles with five being solo, one tackle for loss, and two defended passes. He should be in line for an extended role next week against a Green Bay Packers team that runs the ball an average 25 times per game. Redskins’ linebacker Cole Holcomb (a sleeper from a previous article) racked up nine total tackles against them last week. Needing a late IDP impact player and could get him at a low price, Pierre-Louis could be it. Plug away!
