The coaching changes aren’t stopping with defensive coordinator Matt Patricia leaving as New England Patriots offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Josh McDaniels is reportedly expected to take the reigns as the Indianapolis Colts head coach.

The National Football League and NFL insider Ian Rapoport tweeted the news that came out just a short time ago.

McDaniels who has an 11-17 coaching record from his time with the Denver Broncos, is going to get another chance with the foundation of a healthy Andrew Luck. The experience from his second tenure as the Patriots offensive coordinator and as the quarterbacks coach should give him a much easier go at it in his second attempt as the head coach of an NFL team.

Candidates to replace McDaniels may come from inside the organization with names such as wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea being a prime example. O’Shea has a lot of experience with the offensive group while also being considered in the past as a possible head coaching candidate.

The Patriots will meet the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. for the AFC Championship.
