UMass Falls in OT Against George Mason 80-72

UMass dropped an Atlantic 10 game by the final score of 80-72 to George Mason on Wednesday.
Rashaan Holloway connected on a layup with 3:58 remaining in overtime, tying the game at 68-68.
From there, George Mason would stymie the Minutemen offense, forcing a turnover and a miss to go up 73-68.

UMass would draw within 73-72 with 1:30 left, but that’s as close as it get, as Otis Livingston II connected on a 3-point play, and tallied the remaining four points to seal the Patriots’ win.
George Mason darted out to a 21-12 lead in this one, and held a 36-34 advantage at halftime.
UMass outshot the Patriots 39.3 to 31.1 percent in the final stanza. A 3-0 run in the final minute, which included a pair of C.J. Anderson free throws with 32 ticks left, notched the game up at 66.
Luwane Pipkins led the Minutemen with 15 points.
Next up for UMass is a game against Dayton (7-7, 1-1) on Wednesday 12 p.m.
