UMass Lowell Routed by Wisconsin 82-53

UMass Lowell suffered an 83-52 loss at the hands of Wisconsin on Tuesday.

The River Hawks fell behind 7-0 early and never fully recovered as Wisconsin took a 22-point lead into halftime.

UML sliced its deficit to as little as 13-11 in the first half, but allowed the Badgers to shoot 53.7 percent.

Wisconsin outscored UML 40-33 in the final stanza to secure the victory.

Josh Gantz led the River Hawks with 16 points.
This is the first time the River Hawks have fallen under .500 since a loss in the first game of the season.
UML will host Vermont (9-6) on Thursday at 7 p.m. as it kicks off America East play.
