Poor Shooting Dooms Boston University Against No. 10 Miamiby Nate Rollins December 5, 2017 0 comments
When you struggle to get the ball into the basket, it normally doesn’t end well, especially against a team of No. 10 Miami’s caliber.
Boston University connected on 21 of 53, or 32.3 percent of its attempts from the field in a 69-54 loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday.
The Terriers, despite shooting 35.3 percent, found themselves tied at 30 come halftime.
However, a string of four straight misses to begin the final frame for BU, led to a 7-0 Miami run as the Hurricanes grabbed a 37-30 lead and never looked back.
The Terriers connected on just nine field goals in the final 20 minutes of action.
Max Mahoney paced BU with 12 points.
The Terriers look to get back on track Friday at 7 p.m. with a road game against Bethune-Cookman (4-4).
