The Holy Cross Crusaders lost their third game in a row Saturday as they fell 78-62 to Albany.
Junior Karl Charles lead the Crusaders with 16 points, shooting 8 of 10 from the free throw line. Jehyve Floyd scored 10 points for the Crusaders and also managed four rebounds and three assists. Patrick Benzan scored 13 points, shooting 6 of 9 from the field.
Coming off a 22-point night, freshman Caleb Green only managed two points on 1 of 7 shooting from the field.
Junior guard Joe Cremo led the undefeated Great Danes with 30 points, which was a career high and earned him his 1,000 point for Albany. Cremo shot 10 of 17 from the field and 7 of 10 from three point range. Junior forward Devonte Campbell scored 11 points and managed seven rebounds. Senior forward Travis Charles scored 15 while junior guard David Nichols scored 12, had five rebounds, six assists and three steals.
The Crusaders continued to struggle to get rebound, as they were outrebounded by nine. While they shot an impressive 50 percent from the field, their 27 percent shooting from beyond the arc contributed to their defeat.
The Crusaders will next square off against Manhattan (2-3) on Friday, Dec. 1 at 11:30 a.m.
