Stanford held off Northeastern, 73-59, on Friday in the PK80 Invitational.
Northeastern, despite battling back to pull within two, 57-55, after being down as much as 19 midway through the second, just couldn’t get it done.
The Huskies were held to just four points in the final 5:42 of regulation as the Cardinal built a sizable lead and held on.
Northeastern was outshot 50 to 37.7 percent in the loss. Donnell Gresham Jr. led all Huskies with 15 points.
Northeastern continues its road trip and will visit Columbus to take on the Buckeyes of Ohio State on Sunday at 2 p.m.
