UMass Lowell had used a big second-half surge to overpower UMass Boston on Sunday afternoon.

All nine players who dressed for the River Hawks got on the score sheet in a 102-63 victory.

UML (1-1) 42 60 102

It took UML a little bit to get rolling, but once it did, it was a pretty sight.

This game was tied, 52-52 with 14:50 remaining. That was until UML went on a 21-0 run – that was capped by a Obadiah Noel layup with 8:16 remaining – to take a commanding 73-52 lead, and never looked back.

Ryan Jones led the River Hawks, who shot 48.4 percent from the field, in scoring with 23 points, Shawn Jones pumped in 18 and Matt Harris added 17.

UML hosts Marist (0-1) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
