Boston Bruins backup goaltender Malcolm Subban has been claimed off waivers by the Vegas Golden Knights.

Subban, who was the Bruins first-round draft pick in 2012, now joins former Bruins Colin Miller on the newly former team.

Bruins GM on Sweeney said the loss of the young goalie was disappointing, but the team wishes Subban, the Bruins 2012 first-round draft pick,  “success in the opportunity that he’s going to get.”

Subban played in one game last year for the Bruins. He allowed three goals on 16 shots in an Oct. 25 loss to the Minnesota Wild. He went 11-14-1 in Providence last season, appearing in 32 games with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
