According to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald, unrestricted free agent Gordon Hayward will be visiting the Boston Celtics after July 1.
In addition to Boston, Hayward will also meet with the Miami Heat and Utah Jazz, the latter of which he has played the entirety of his seven year NBA career for. The former Butler Bulldog will visit Miami, Boston, and Utah in that order. However, the sequence of Hayward’s meetings mean nothing according to Basketball Insiders’ Steve Kyler.
Hayward earned his first All-Star berth last season as he posted per game averages of 21.9 points, 3.5 assists, and 5.4 rebounds. The former ninth overall pick also shot 47.1 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from deep during his 2016-2017 campaign.
